A key introspect into the achievements of the president in 30 days

Following the swearing in of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on 7th of January 2025, his government promised to achieve key things in 120 days prior to their power take over.

Some of these promises to the Ghanaian people are:

* Complete a list of 60 cabinet ministers for the first 14 days

* Manage the most lenient and efficient government

* Establish a code of conduct and standards for all government officials

* Create a National Economic Dialogue to discuss the state of the economy

* Promise to scrap E-levy, COVID levy, betting levy, and emissions levy in 90 days

* Review taxes on vehicles that are been imported into the country for agricultural purposes in 90 days

* Implement 'no academic fees' policy for first year students

But from this, he's been able to achieve some in his first month in office as he promised

* Contributed a working team for the presidency both for the president and the vice president that is the presidential staffers (chief of staff, advisor etc)

* Set in motion for constitutional review

* Set up a planning team on national economic dialogue to discuss the economy

* Introduced a team to plan a national education forum chaired by Professor George Oduro

* Announced 2025 Hajj fare to 13,000cedis as the cheapest compared to 2024

* Began taking action to implement the 120 day social contract.

Ghanaians are still glued to the current government to see whether they can stick to their promise and amongst these are the scrapping of the irrelevant taxes and educational reforms.
