Parents besiege the Kumasi headquarters of WEAC.

Whiles some students have been admitted successfully to the various universities in our country with their awaiting results from the 2024 WASSCE, some are still in grief. 

 The reason being that, most had their results being withheld and some cancelled due to traces of illegality and malpractices identified in the halls and their answer booklets. Most parents have complained bitterly about their ward inability to be admitted to any of the tertiary institutions However, speaking on Citi tv, parents said that WEAC has instructed them to submit reports on alleged malpractices. 

 One main subject withheld for some candidates was the core mathematics which is very necessary in your qualifications. Tensions rose at the head office at Kumasi Some parents complained that they travelled very far as Tamale and other locations to come oblivious than to be told to write report . 

 Some parents also claim they were intimidated by the WEAC officials to write report and their arguments were that the students must be called to be interrogated rather than to take harsh actions on them because some of these affected students are very innocent but the benefit of the doubt that they wrote the exams alone and therefore can formulate lies. 

Moreover, parents and guardians have raised concerns appealing to WEAC to release the results because their wards might not get admission than to write private exams which might delay them in their academic journey.
