Ghanaians are our bosses (Felix Kwakye Ofosu)

In an interview granted on Tv3 today, the president's spokesperson and minister designate of state, government communications (Felix Kwakye Ofosu) was interrogated on the performance of the current government so far. He was asked on whether the government will stick to the 120 day promise and the Ministerial appointments within the first 14 days . He said that" Ghanaians are our bosses and we will serve at their pleasure " and gave them the mandate to scrutinize their government while in power and therefore, they are tolerant. He made it clear that President Mahama's attitude towards chiefs in his thank you party held at Ho in the volta region was a testament to their prevailing tolerance and pledges he wouldn't accept any disrespect from his appointees and that they must acknowledge when there are problems. The president made his ministers aware of the fact that the story must be told and appreciate what has happened to avert any humiliation from Ghanaians. Prior to this, he pinpointed on the sectors they must pay attention to. He indicated the finance minister focus on stabilizing the cedi and paying debts, the energy minister look at providing stable and efficient power, the education minister ensure quality education and the other ministries one after the other. He also made clarity on the issue why Naa momo Lartey wasn't sworn in yesterday, the president's spokesperson Felix Kwakye made it clear that Naa excused herself due to a family emergency she has to attend to but couldn't reach on time to catch up with the swearing in . He said the intention of the president was to swear all the approved ministers yesterday coz he was going on a presidential trip today and. He said the president also touched on the LGBTQ bill that was expired due to the injunction placed by the supreme court and as the law demands that if a bill with a previous parliament which wasn't assented elapses ,and therefore wanted to make it a government sponsored bill since it was a private member bill so they can all clear their thoughts and draw a conclusion to that aspect. However, the spokesperson reiterated that the government is committed to fulfilling the 120 day contract accordingly and to be the most efficient government ever with the 60 ministers promised to the good people of Ghana .
